The path less traveled

After three weeks of social distancing with only trips outside being essentially shopping for food and groceries and taking some short walks in our local forests of Nordmarka, I had to admit I have run out of options for taking “the paths less traveled“ as they literally became overcrowded and so I stood before another challenge - finding areas with less people, which I have not been to yet. Not having any car (never had a need for one, well probably until now), this meant only one thing. Having to take on a bit more gear and food and head further than most while avoiding main “forest arteries“, which also meant a great opportunity to take my Leica with me.

While I’m not particularly focused on nature photography, I definitely consider myself an “outdoors person”, so combining these two hobbies would come as natural solution, despite the fact, one could say that my equipment is ill suited for the task (didn’t I mention that there is no such thing in my last blog post?).

At any rate, I’ll share a few photos I took along the way on a rather lovely hike up to Lillomarka yesterday.

The path took me to the close to the city, yet not so easy to reach lake of Store Gryta, which as I later found out, also serves as a local drinking water source.
